Our Independence and Political Impartiality

Innovation for Agriculture (“IfA”) is an independent charity.

We work with leading agricultural researchers, businesses, landowners, and farmers to develop the knowledge and technologies that will make modern farming more sustainable, resilient, and productive. Through practical and interactive workshops, farm walks, and on-farm demonstrations, we help farmers to put this knowledge into practice.

Where we choose to raise awareness or share knowledge of a topic, we do so on the basis that our activity is in the interests of the people, groups, organisations and/or communities with which we work.

The funding we receive may be derived from statutory bodies, charitable trusts, public and private enterprises as well as individuals.  This funding is used to run projects, provide services, engagement activities and supports forums, carry out research and contribute towards the general running costs of the organisation.  Where we provide any consultancy services, these are provided on the basis that any income is reinvested to meet the charitable objectives of IfA.

Speakers and contributors at IfA events are free to express their individual opinions.  These opinions are neither endorsed by IFA nor any liability is assumed by IfA.

Innovation for Agriculture is not influenced in its decision making by funders’ interventions or political consideration Furthermore, IfA does not endorse any third-party products, services, organisations, or individuals.  Strategic direction and overall policy are agreed by our Board of Trustees, who have fixed terms of office and who are compelled to act within the Charities Act 2011.
